Never a girly girl, the colour pink had previously always alluded me. I had always wanted to become Avril Lavigne (her classic 2004
look of course), from the wannabe punk to the teenage emo phase; all side fridges and myspace poses. I was ‘cool’
, or ‘edgy’
, (or ‘a sheep
So imagine my surprise when the elusive pink trend began to pop up on my Instagram and I was quickly enamored. The ornate nature of pastels to whimsical OTT fuschia, my online shopping baskets were quickly filled with all shades Barbie.
Pink was a prominent trend throughout the catwalks (maybe as a way for us Brits to remember colours?). Chanel
threw pink about in its Cuba-inspired resort collection, whereas both Topshop LFW AW’17 runway
and Célines 2017 Spring collection
used the shade as a form of visual Prozac – It just makes me so happy!
So, how can you actually wear this statement colour?Instead of buying a whole new wardrobe, you can just invest in a STATE.MENT. PIECE. aka those fricking beautiful Gucci wallpaper flats or Zara’s long pastel coat.
However, most of my edit is focussed on accessories
. Accessories are the easiest way to sneak a pop of colour and elevate your look ready for spring (as seen in my Kenzo edit
!). If you need some more inspiration, Gregory Robert
is the poster boy for wearing head-to-toe pink in a wearable way.
What do you guys think, will you integrate the pink? How would you wear it? Other than carrying around this Charlie Brown
diary of course
P.S. Who spotted the cheeky Dior PFW’17 update? (;
Zendaya’s size-inclusive collection
is one set to turn the fashion world on its head. The trail-blazing Disney star has famously clapped back against the industries seemingly natural inclination to body-shame and marginalize anyone not on-trend. Now she has put her work where her mouth is.

Dayas by Zendaya
is a size-inclusive collection, designed with different body shapes and different races. The minimalist set is predominantly made up of street-wear pieces, although with a twist of elegance that we have come to expect from Zendaya. Here are a few looks featuring some of my favourite pieces of the Dayas by Zendaya collection.

Would you wear any of the looks? Do you think we are going to see more size-inclusive collections, or do we still have a way to go?
collab is only a matter of days away and if you’re anything like me, you’ve been scouring all the sneak peeks and interviews to catch a glance at all the beautiful clothes
(before they all sell out and you contemplate eBay
). When the official lookbook
released last week, I could barely believe my luck. My Pinterest was a-ready and my calculator at hand.
And oh boy, this collection is worth the hype. Say goodbye to boring gray hoodie with a printed logo,or sloppy imitations of trademark looks, KENZO’s creative directors Carol Lim and Humberto Leon have filled this collection with 5 key prints and colour combos, and has an eye-widening number of statement pieces from an oversized leather coat to a bright pink, leopard print hat with a bow.
Although the bright colours and complex prints are fun to look at, it is hard to see how such extravagant pieces could be ready-to-wear. I’ve cobbled together a couple of ways you could wear some of my favourite pieces in the KENZOxH&M collection whilst picking up some milk on your route home from work. Hope you like it!

The KENZOxH&M collection goes live at 9am 03.11.16
. Are you going to try and nab any pieces? If so which ones? Good luck!
The mixture of silvery metallics and the rose gold highlights creates a fun, relaxed look for nipping out for a boozy lunch or even a casual daytime date!
