November’s Style Icon | Grace Helbig

Grace Helbig is an actress, model, New York Times Best Selling Author, and Youtube comedian. I started watching her in around 2013-2014 when she moved from DailyGrace to her own Youtube channel itsgrace.

Grace is a comedian and actress, although her comedy stems from her personality rather than stand-up or sketches. Grace is that shy friend who is gorgeous, talented, and freaking tall. You know that friend? We all have that friend. She has starred in movies Dirty 30, Camp Takota, and even featured in Trolls! She had her own television show on E! called the Grace Helbig Show, and both of her books Grace’s Guide: The Art of Pretending to be a Grown Up and Grace & Style: The Art of Pretending You Have It topped the New York Times Best Seller book lists respectively.

Ergh, we all have that friend.

Grace’s success seems contrary to her classically casual, girl-next-door aesthetic; very statement tee and sneaker combo. When her fashion choices get exciting — to me anyway — is when Grace dresses for the cameras. Whenever she announces a project, whether that be one of her films or books, she goes through a rom-com movie makeover moment!

Helbig follows classic silhouettes while playing between masculine lines or ultra-feminine looks. I love it when people sometimes step away from trying to look effortless and brings out the glam instead.

Grace’s quiet confidence in herself despite her issues surrounding anxiety permeates through her style and commands respect and attention.
